“Hanuman lives only to serve the God within us and to prepare us to live fully in the spirit” - Krishna Das

ANJENAYA is another name for Hanuman, one of the most loved and worshipped Gods in the Hindu tradition. Born to the God of wind and Anjani a highly spiritual women, Hanuman half monkey, half God is best known for his unconditional devotion to Lord Rama in the Ramayana tale where he rescued Sita from the demons. Hanuman is an embodiment of power, dedication and service. He is worshipped all over India, and is believed to live eternally in the hearts of those who call to him. Hanuman is thought of as the remover of suffrage and through chanting his Lords name, Rama, is to be protected in his grace. We came to love Hanuman through his 40 verse Prayer known as the Hanuman Chaleesa. One night at satsang we discovered that the Union of our names, Andrea and Jenay, forms the name Anjenaya. We feel very blessed to work under his name

To rule is to Serve
